Scaly skin that flakes off
Welts appear when skin is scratched or rubbed
Blisters
Skin redness or red bumpy rashes
Doctor's Diagnostic Questionson Ichthyosis

Does your dry skin worsen or crack during winter?
Do you have flaky, scaly skin?
Does your skin get red from friction or irritation?
Do you have skin blisters?
Do you have red skin or red spots?
Treatmentof Ichthyosis
While there is no cure, proper skincare can usually manage and keep ichthyosis symptoms mild. This typically involves moisturizing with ingredients that are both moisturizing and exfoliating. A doctor may prescribe oral medication for severe forms.
